Description
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Graduate from a recognized Medical Laboratory Program
Current professional registration and licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Ontario (CMLTO)
DESIRED EDUCATION
Preference will be given to applicants who have continued education in laboratory studies.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Required to perform venipuncture, capillary collections and electrocardiograms.
The Laboratory Technologist will perform routine and special laboratory tests in Histology, Microbiology, Hematology, Immunohematology and Biochemistry, which require the use of professional judgment.
The application of principles, theories and techniques of Medical Technology are used to produce accurate test results, which aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
The Technologist will be required to work under general supervision and perform the full range of tests and procedures related to their section and/or department.

Available for days, evenings, nights, weekends, callback and statutory holidays
Regular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this position.
As a condition of employment, external hires are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department.
