Description
Required Immediately until approximately January 2023.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Current Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
A.C.L.S. and I.V Certification
O.R. Post-Graduate Certification/related Experience, P.A.C.U. Certification/Experience
DESIRED EDUCATION
C.N.A. Perioperative Certification an asset.
Neonatal Advanced Life Support Certification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years (3000 hrs) current experience working in a Surgical Suite.
Preference will be given to applicants that have OR experience and OR Course or who are enrolled in OR Course.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Available for on-call coverage / call-back as required by the rotation schedule, and live within a twenty minute response time of the hospital.
Regular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this position
Ability to adapt to change
Effective communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
Ability to work in busy, stressful situations
Available for flexible shift start times
Ability to work in all areas of Surgical Services: OR, Endoscopy, Day Surgery & Recovery
As a condition of employment, external hires are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department.
