Description
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current CPR and IV certification
Credentialed to perform Added Nursing Skills in the Emergency Department including triage
DESIRED EDUCATION
TNCC, ACLS, PALS, ENC(C) Other Emergency & Critical Care Education Preferred
National Emergency Certification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
2 years (3000 Hrs.) current Emergency Nursing Experience
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Critical Care Experience
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this position
Show an eagerness and capacity to adapt to change
Effective communication skills with staff and physicians
Ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues and management
Ability to work in busy, stressful situations
Required to accept Charge Nurse responsibility for various shifts
May be assigned to accompany patients on transfers
Ability to work all shifts (days, nights, etc.)
